CHris Payn
Music has been in Chris Payn’s blood forever. He started banging on the piano and belting out tunes at the ripe age of 3. By 8, he was putting on his first concert in a little 100-seater hall, jamming out to Meatloaf songs. That's when it hit him – music was where he belonged. Fast forward to 10 years old, and he surprised himself by picking up the guitar, and turns out, it felt more natural than expected.
Early on, he hit the pubs and clubs, performing with his dad, who was a piano-playing comedian. Then came the rock band phase, covering songs and later cooking up their own stuff. At 15, they signed a production deal and morphed into an original band with a new name.
But as life does its thing, the band members started heading in different musical directions. Chris is now doing the solo artist gig, diving into all sorts of projects – from belting it out for a crowd of 40,000 to studio sessions with Diversity. Right now, he's on a mission to find his unique sound, and while you could kinda call it Pop/Rock with piano, guitars, and his voice in the mix, nailing down a specific genre is a bit tricky. Some days, he's grooving with a funky vibe and heavy undertones, and the next, he's all about synths. Bottom line: Chris Payn just loves music, and he's up for anything.
